Ronnie Schell

We all know that he and Goldsmith were best friends, but did Schell ever appear in anything that Goldsmith scored, be it a film or a TV movie?

One thing's for sure, he never scored any episodes of "Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C".

He's a very well-known(And very talented, to boot!) American character actor. He played Duke Slater on the 60's sitcom Gomer Pyle, and has made appearances on dozens upon dozens of other shows. The one I remember him most in was as a councilman on an episode of Sanford and Son. He kept constantly flirting with his secretary... funny stuff!:) He doesn't show up too much any more, which is a shame.. I would LOVE to see him in a show again!

I agree, Terry, he could be funny and is a very talented journeyman actor capable of playing drama as well! It'd be interesting to hear his reaction to Jerry's passing. They were born about 2 years apart, Ronnie in 1931.
